In short, the speaker in that video says that you can get good results from people using the carrot and stick mechanism for mechanical tasks. But money rewarding doesn’t work well for the creative tasks. On the contrary, it works against the employer. The more you pay the poorer is the performance you get for an employee who is expected to do a creative job.
This is so unlike how it works in the Indian IT industry.
